Introduction

The President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, approved the establishment of the Saudi Federation for Sports Culture on May 3, 2021.
The establishment of the Federation comes within the framework of achieving Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to accomplish sporting excellence and enhance public health by elevating sports culture through organizing and supporting events that encourage sports participation, improve quality of life, and achieve sustainable development.
The Federation works to achieve its objectives in collaboration with its partners from ministries, government bodies, military sectors, government companies, private-sector companies, sports federations and clubs, sports academies, and other community institutions.

About the Conference

Many developed countries are keen to conduct periodic reviews of their performance and achievements as part of their strategic approach to enhancing the efficiency of various sectors, including the sports sector, which is considered one of the essential pillars of human development and community advancement. This approach aims to assess accomplishments, analyze strengths, address areas of weakness, and explore development opportunities—ultimately enhancing positives, overcoming challenges, and achieving sustainable leadership.

Stemming from its deep belief in the importance of comprehensive individual development, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia places great emphasis on culture in general and sports in particular, considering them integral components of holistic human development. This includes promoting awareness of sports as a lifestyle, developing physical and mental skills, and reinforcing positive behavioral values—enabling individuals to engage confidently and effectively with the demands and challenges of modern life.

In line with this vision, the idea of organizing periodic conferences dedicated to sports culture emerged. These conferences serve as platforms for exchanging expertise, ideas, and specialized studies, thereby enhancing the awareness of the sporting community, advancing the intellectual and physical capacities of individuals, and supporting the path of sustainable development in the sports sector at both the local and international levels.
